Hall of Fame

African stories that inspire.

The Anzisha Prize Hall of Fame is ready to showcase the “how” behind some of the most prominent entrepreneurs that the African continent has to offer and how they started their journey when they were very young. Their journeys are inspirational and their successes should be celebrated as entrepreneurship trailblazers who are examples of how you can be successful when you started young.

Each year the Anzisha Hall of Fame will release a list of 10 African entrepreneurs who started before the age of 25. These Hall of Fame ‘10 are the example that young entrepreneurs need to know and need to hear from. Their role models are no longer unattainable but very accessible as they hear their stories of success, challenges and triumph.

The Hall of Fame forms part of one of our key activities that informs the theory of change in which very young people (15-25 years) will develop their understanding, confidence and skills in entrepreneurial pursuits.

Our Hall of Famers fit the following:

    •   35+ older (with some exceptions)
    •  African
    •  Multi sector
    • Started when they were 25 and younger

The Hall of Fame for 2020 was launched at the 2019 Anzisha Forum, where a teaser video was screened to invited guests. Stay tuned to find out when the hall of fame will be officially released.

If you know of anyone who fits the above criteria, nominate them for next year.
