About Renata

Renata Silva is a 19-year-old woman who is passionate about entrepreneurship and fashion. She was born and raised in Angola, then moved to Namibia. Being raised in a business-oriented family, entrepreneurship was always a part of her goals, so when she discovered her love for fashion, she saw an opportunity to transform her sewing hobby into a business. In July of 2020 she decided to launch her own clothing brand where she designs and sells trendy and fashionable clothing pieces to teenagers and young adults in Namibia.

Transition into Entrepreneurship

Renata is completing her studies in Namibia. She is in her second year of an undergraduate degree in Business Management at the University of Namibia. When she was 15-years-old, she started making bows and selling them at school, from the bows she started making handmade pencil cases and bags, and eventually landed in clothes making through her current business, RS Clothing Brand.

Business Profile

RS Clothing Brand is a clothing line that offers quality, fashionable and affordable clothes for both men and women between the ages of 15-25. The brand prides itself in fast fashion and custom-made pieces. Fast fashion is when clothes are made in standard sizes and designed by the brand. These clothes are marketed and sold online then delivered directly to customers. The custom-made pieces are orders made for specific customers in the design of their choice. The customers book an appointment, come in for measurements and present their desired design, then wait between 5-7working days to get their piece. Renata hopes that RS Clothing Brand will soon be a popular brand in Namibia.
