With a degree in Business Administration and Management. Oumar Mamoudou Sylla founded Sylla Bio Et Divers. Oumar has found his calling in ensuring that young people and women in rural areas participate in long-term development programs and job creation. 

Transition into Entrepreneurship

Having come from a low-income family in Bamako, Oumar founded his company to ensure a sustainable economy for rural communities in Mali. Oumar has become a model for transformational leadership. Despite his youth, he successfully rallied together some young people around a social impact project. 

Business Information

Sylla Bio Et Divers is a social enterprise that exists to help Malian rural communities to develop sustainable economies. The company trains young people and women in agriculture using a model that they created – Accelerated Agroforestry. The company monitors production until maturity is reached. They then buy the crops from farmers, which they transform and refine before reselling. In the future, the company has plans to expand to Senegal and Burkina Faso.
