About Mohamed

Mohamed A. Bah graduated in 2016 with Bsc. Honors in Business and Information Technology. Across his teen years, he volunteered at NGOs with various positions in Information Technology, Program Management and Business Development. Furthering his passion for finding sustainable solutions, Mohamed volunteered at a government institution (Ministry of Water Resources) as an ICT Officer.

In 2018, he decided to set up an NGO called Information For All Sierra Leone (IFA-Sierra Leone). The business was primarily focused on building sustainable solutions to some of Sierra Leone’s most challenging problems. He initially struggled to find his feet. However, a year later, Mohamed was finally able to isolate a local problem and create a solution to this issue in Sierra Leone –access to clean drinking water. He currently provides services such as, access to water and sanitation including hygiene promotion.

Wishing you ‘well’

IFA -Sierra Leone provides safe and affordable drinking water to the most deprived communities in Sierra Leone. The business provides services such as drilling and constructing boreholes using locally welded galvanized pipes. Once holes are drilled, the business uses its own state of the art hand pump named SL pump to draw water. The business has also ventured into toilet construction and irrigation for agriculture.

To date, the business has drilled over 20 wells and provided clean water to over 20 000 people.
