About Gustave
Gustave is a 22-year-old entrepreneur from Benin who holds a degree in social science. He was exposed to entrepreneurship at an early age by his aunt, who was an entrepreneur and taught him the ins and outs of business management. As a young boy, he was always interested in agronomy, which led him to start his own business, Bioproduction in March 2018. He has always been interested in agriculture.
Transition into Entrepreneurship
At the age of 18, Gustave left his hometown to move to the city and shadow his entrepreneur aunt who helped champion his interest in business. While he always knew he wanted to go into agronomy he was unsure of how running a business would yield positive results. So whilst in university he decided to start Bio Production that has proven to be successful and a business he hopes to grow from strength to strength.
Business Profile
Gustave is the founder of Bio-production, a company that produces and commercializes organic green chili, using the aqueous extract of neem as a biopesticide and the droppings and urine of rabbits as organic fertilizer. They also process the chili pepper into puree, dried chili and preserved chili in appropriate packaging to make them available in all seasons. Gustave hopes to become one of Africa’s best chili producers and to create jobs through bio-production.
