Now, Grace focuses on fighting food loss and wastage, making a difference in the agricultural sector.
Transition into Entrepreneurship
Grace’s transition to entrepreneurship began when she became part of Jangu International Social Innovation Academy. This opportunity allowed her to identify the problems faced by her community and transform them into business opportunities. With a deep-rooted commitment to creating sustainable livelihoods for fruit farmers in Uganda and improving food security, Grace co-founded a business that she is immensely proud of. By implementing value-additional strategies and improved processing techniques, the venture aims to extend the shelf life of fruits and vegetables and reduce waste. Their mission is to create sustainable income for farmers and promote environmental sustainability through zero waste management practices. The venture has generated over $134 in six months.
