The first, Maemu Thiofhi Lambani, from South Africa, has managed to defy all odds and start her own revolutionary digital marketing agency. Her company, Fearless Trendz aims to transform local growing businesses into global brands and in doing so, give back to the continent that has given her so much. A home, a family and now her very own business! The future looks nothing but bright from this talent digital entrepreneur!
The second, 22 year old Zambian, Moonga Chowe, is the founder and CEO of Chilimba Savings, a company that seeks to provide mobile financial security services and peace of mind to traditional credit and savings groups in Zambia. A much needed service in the challenging financial times, facing Zambia.
Chilimba allows groups of people to subscribe to the mobile platform, where they don’t need to worry about fraud and empowers subscribers to manage their finances in an efficient and transparent manner; enabling them to migrate to safer digital money and payment histories that are translatable into credit scores and provides easier access to bank loans.
There are over 400 000 groups that have subscribed to this service in Zambia alone, signalling the beginning of great things to come for the young Zambian.
